Why come to Durack College?

If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then Durack College is the place for you. 

Durack College provides tertiary students with high-quality accommodation that includes your own private room, sink, air-conditioning, mini-fridge, desk and cupboard space. Extra storage is also available. Bedding and laundry costs are all included and shared bathroom facilities are at a very low ratio of 1:3. High quality meals are provided for all of our residents with all dietary requirements catered for. Access to food is available throughout your stay with many girls accessing the salad bar in preparation for the day at uni ahead, or for a late night snack.

Our residence is located in a quiet enclave of Ascot, central to the city of Brisbane, allowing our residents easy access to public transport and quick travel to all of the local universities. Currently we have residents at all of the major tertiary institutions including UQ, QUT, ACU, Griffith and Torrens Universities.

We provide a safe, secure and positive student experience, fostering a supportive culture where residents generously contribute to daily college life. Our small size means you are part of a community based on the foundations of mutual trust, respect and ethical standards.


Scholarships Available!

We are pleased to be partnering with Queensland Investment Corporation and PwC to offer scholarships to reside at Durack College. A scholarships is worth $9000 per academic year and equates to approximately half of the College residential fees, per annum. If you are a female Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander undergraduate or postgraduate student, please find an application form here. Limited places for 2019 are still available. 

Durack College welcomes applications from female students who intend to study in 2019 or are enrolled in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate courses at universities across Brisbane. Applications have opened for 2020 and we already have a number of applications being processed. If you are looking at moving to Brisbane for university next year please do not hesitate to contact us or apply online.
