If you are accepted into Durack College, it will become your home away from home for 35 weeks of the year. With such diversity amongst people here, you will make an amazing network of friends, live in a supportive academic environment and have a life changing learning experience.
Our focus is to assist you during your college experience and support your personal and academic needs. We encourage collegians to embrace every opportunity and immerse themselves in university and college life.
We foster a positive culture and strong sense of community, where residents contribute generously to daily college life in a nurturing, scholarly environment characterised by collegians who are compassionate, vital, curious and aspirational.
Our extensive activities program is student led and reflects the interests of residents. There are many opportunities to meet and mingle with cooking classes, movie nights, formal dinners and cinema and theatre outings. Sport is a big part of College life with many group exercise opportunities from walking and Fun Run events to yoga and pilates. You can make your leisure time anything you want and we encourage you to share your passions and interests with other residents. Want to sing? Speak to our young women who attend the CON, UQ and QUT musical schools. Want to play hockey? There’s already alumni in the local club.
